Motorola A1200 (Ming) GSM World Phone
The Motorola A1200 (Ming) GSM World Phone is more commonly known as Moto Ming. The phone is a Linux-based smart phone with an attractive transparent flip design, a handy business card reader and a 2 Mega Pixel camera.

The A1200 (Ming) is a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) phone with a sleek transparent cover that protects the TFT touchscreen 256k color screen with 240x 320 pixel resolution. The phone is a delight to hold with dimensions of 96x52x22mm and weighing 122 grams. This worldphone is entirely encased in a soft touch rubber compound, which makes it scratch resistant and provides a good grip. The Motorola A1200 (Ming) comes with a chromed plastic lining on the hinges and sides, which is what enhances the model’s classy appearance.

The Motorola A1200 (Ming) GSM World Phone is powered by some of the best facilities that a cell phone can incorporate. The A1200 (Ming) is a quad band phone with GSM 850/ GSM 900/ GSM 1900/ GSM 1900 frequencies.

Net surfing through the Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32-48 kbps GPRS connection is made even more interesting through the high-resolution screen that displays clear and sharp web pages. Its Intel 312 MHz processor gives this World Phone improved net browsing capabilities. The phone comes with a Picsel Document Viewer for browsing rich documents on the small screen of a cell phone. The software has super-fast zoom and scroll to support Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), PDF and text files. Through the phone SMS, MMS, emails and instant messages become child’s play.

The A1200 (Ming) comes with handwriting and speech recognition software, which helps in dialing phone numbers by either writing on the phone using the joystick or speaking numbers or names.

And the story doesn’t end here. This Motorola world phone comes in with an inbuilt 2 Mega Pixel camera for capturing photos in three different resolutions – 1200x1600 pixels, 768x1024 pixels and 480x640 pixels. The photos can also be edited using the photo editing software on the phone. For those who love capturing spontaneous moments, the phone allows video recording at 176x44 and 128x96 resolutions. The vast 8 MB internal memory helps store all your videos and still photos for easy viewing on the phone.

This world roaming phone from Motorola also comes with RealPlayer for MP3, MP4 or AAC+ formats, while giving you the option of listening to your favourite music either with headphones or on the loudspeaker. Music on the FM recorder sounds undistorted and clear. MP3 or MIDI files can also be used as ringtones, since they can be recorded on the microSD card. The phone also has 40 Polyphonic ringtones of its own.

The A1200 (Ming) also incorporated Java MIDP 2.0, which supports J2ME games on the phone. Several other features that are inbuilt in this cell phone include phonebook, call record (which can record 30 dialed, 30 received and 30 missed calls), organizer and a currency converter.

All these wonderful features are supported by the Li-Ion 840 mAh battery, with standby time of up to 250 hours and talk time of up to 5 hours.
